The focal point of the photograph is the tea cup that is positioned upward and there are many objects surrounding it, such as the parasol, the fan, the tea kettle and the shadow of the ivy branch. The element of lines is presented through the shadows behind the parasol, also from the parasol itself, bringing attention toward the focal point- the teacup. Also, composition-wise, there is an odd number of objects which does not stray from the center point and overall I believe the photograph was printed beautifully with great contrast. I was trying to convey certain aspects of the typical Victorian woman's life and how women had minimal obligations--drinking tea, playing piano, and walking around the gardens with their fans and parasols. I personally love the fashion and elegance of the women at this time, therefore it would seem that the photograph was throroughly executed the concept of a 17th century woman. I believe that my concept was clear and executed well in this photograph.
